Generally speaking, It is difficult to generate boundary-fitted grid of complex configuration. At present, many techniques of grid generation have been developed to solve the problem. This thesis concentrates on the applications of CFD. Techniques of grid generation were studied in this paper, including overset grid and one to one patched-grid. Firstly, The technique of Chimera grid was applied to multi-element airfoil, which has mature results. N-S equations were used to numerical simulation the flow field of multi-element airfoil. The results demonstrate that the complex flow mechanism near the joint of main airfoil and sub-airfoil and flap and maximum lift can be simulated very well. Secondly, The technique of one to one patched multi-grid was applied to propeller, Euler equations were used to numerical simulation the flow field of the propeller, Compared with theory and references, the reliable results were gained qualitativly.
