Provincial Forestry Zoning Method Based On Gis

In this paper,the provincial forestry division was studied based on"National Forestry Development Division 3-level method". Took the Guangdong Province Forestry Division as a case and county as the basic unit, the framework of provincial forestry division based on GIS and factorial system of Guangdong Province were build-up. Discussed the different methods of provincial forestry division based on tradition and GIS.(1)Based on the "National Forestry Development Division 3-level method", the framework of provincial forestry division based on GIS and factorial system of Guangdong Province were build-up. The various element for forestry division was abstract by spatial analysis.(2)Build-up GIS basic database of Guangdong Province Forestry Division and GIS spatial database on county uint. Prepare for the data processing in provincial forestry division based on GIS.(3)Used traditional analysis method to take Guangdong Province Forestry Division from the standpoint of quantity and quality respectively.(4)When used traditional methods of forestry division, using hierarchical clustering methods to take provincial forestry division, the results show that the division boundary was vague, some divisions didn't have regional characteristics and have poor effcet combined with the local geograph. Not clearly reflect the development direction of forestry and not conducive to the development of production planning.(5)The results obtained from GIS-based model of the provincial forestry divisions (including the principal component analysis, build-up integrated model, discriminant analysis, determine the reasonable number of the partition, small multi-polygon syncretic judging process and so on) can combine all preponderant divisions and geographic topography, reflect the status of forest resources objectively, determine the direction of forestry construction development and can technically solve the question"how and how many to divide"...
