The grinding-classification is an important industrial process of some industries, such as metallurgy,non-ferrous metal and material, and it is the most crucial part in beneficiation process. This thesis studies the principle of Ball Mill and Hydrocyclone, through the analysis of the factors which influence the efficiency of the grinding-classification, we know the process of grinding-classification is complicated, it has lots of influencing factors, also it has the traits of multivariate, non-linearity and indetermination, so it is that how to make a model, accurate analysis and nicer control for grinding-classification become a recent focus. It is quite significant because these technical researches have much to do with economic benefits, resource utilization rate and environment protecting production.According to the existent problem in the grinding-classification, this thesis brings forward a new idea:First, using "integration system" as the main measuring instruments of the grinding-classification closed system. Second, applying control means of dynamic matrix to the process of grinding-classification. Based on the understanding thoroughly DMC algorithm, a decay factor is introduced to make the control increment come to zero in the control horizon. In this way, the calculation inverse of matrix becomes the calculation inverse of number, so the calculation amount decreases a lot and the velocity is heightened.This thesis uses Phoenix ILC 150 ETH as the PLC controller, realizes the communication King View and VB with controller by OPC technology. According to the characteristics of the grinding-classification, it has designed separately the control loops of ore volume, first section rubbing density, first section overflow grinding fineness, and second section overflow grinding fineness, applying the DMC into each control loop. It effectively solves the influencing factors of the grinding-classification system, such as big hysteresis,non-linearity and indetermination. Programming in the PC with VB realizes the calculation of DMC, the programming is simple and the operating speed is quick; Programming in the PLC with PC WORX controls each loop of the grinding-classification. It monitors the grinding-classification system by King View, each picture is easy to understand, easy to operate.
