This thesis originated"The manufacturing and industrialization of controllable and variable speed device of belt conveyor", which was the Science and Technology program of Henan province. In the thesis, working principle and control demand in control system of the controllable and variable speed device was analyzed. PLC was selected as the controller by means of its reliability and convenient. The author analyzed the control method of the belt conveyor system based on the PLC and designed the hardware of the PLC system. The rule of dynamic load under several acceleration curves was analyzed and the best starting curve was designed due to the difference between the new device and traditional device. At the same time, the control strategies of motor velocity based on fuzzy PID and power balance in four motors based reference current were set up and simulated in Matlab. Simulation results verified the validity of the proposed control method, in which the fuzzy PID control system has virtues of short adjusting time, small overshoot, quick given response and the four motor maintain the same power output despite of variation of the load.Finally, the author programed the software using FXGP-WIN-C software tool based on the idea of"layer"and modular programming. The flow charts of PLC and man-machine interface were designed., field debug several modules of PLC were debugged in the laboratory, and the method of debugging in the filed was given.
