This subject is with the cooperation project "the production and service of special oil for taxi", between Guangxi University and Guangxi Diheng Bio Energy Investment Co. Ltd, for the subject source. Guangxi University is responsible for providing technical support. A environmental-friendly and energy efficient formula of engine oil has been determined by the project team under laboratory conditions. The formula has been patented and already authorised.The main content of this paper is to design lubricating oil blending workshop, which can make the laboratory formulation used in practical production. First the paper selects the project site through the analysis of blending workshop characteristics and designs plane of the workshop based on layout basic principle. Next, it makes a process design for the workshop and does the major equipment sampling. Then the paper sets an example of producing SL 15W-40 grade diesel taxi oil and chooses prediction model of the viscosity and flash point to obtain performance constraints. The nonlinear programming method is adopted to solve objective function of the lowest cost on the MATLAB platform. Then, putting the optimized formula into practice, the physicochemical properties of the product can meet with requirements. Finally, it also makes an economic analysis. Results show that the project total investment is 789000 yuan, the profit for the year is more than 3.6 million yuan, the payback period of funds is eight and a half months.On the basis of theoretical study, this paper brings the results of laboratory study to reality and brings new product to market, which has good economic and social benefit.
