The natural environment on which human beings rely is increasingly dried up. The deterioration of environment, frequent disasters are threatening human survival, protecting the energy and nature is the only way to mankind. At present, the iron and steel industry-the supporting role in the field of national economy-is overcapacity seriously. With low economic benefits and increasingly fierce competition, it not only influence the development of the industry, but also bring major obstacles to the country’s energy conservation and environmental protection career. Among them, dust removal fan system is a large energy consumption in iron industry. National calls for improvement in iron equipment, efficiency of blast furnace iron-making process, carrying out a major measure for saving energy and reducing consumption in iron mills. This paper is based on old iron dust removal system of energy saving reconstruction project in the energy-saving technology center of China aerospace science and industry group. In Cyclonell series models EP2C35F672C6FPGA development board complete the design and simulation of multi-channel data acquisition processing module,which is the core module of the system,implementing the multi-channel filtering based on median filtering algorithm, timing, sampling, the threshold comparison functions, replacing the expensive data acquisition card, saving production cost and prolong the service life of the system. At the same time,combine with multiple sensors, PLC, frequency converter and other devices completing the construction of the system, improving the technology efficiency of iron dust removal system, saving energy and improving the iron environment.The variable-frequency fan control system is consists of multiple sensors, PLC, FPGA, center control system and frequency converter five parts. Multiple sensor system acquire the related analog signals of manufacturing, with A/D conversion of PLC, transmit the digital signal to the FPGA signal processing module. The FPGA divide the signal into multiple filtering, sampling and threshold comparison processing, and the multiple comparison results is transmited to the industrial computer of central control system,complete the function of the data from FPGA storage, display, and send the control instruction to the inverter according to the results. The paper has carried on the detailed analysis and research of the core modules of variable-frequency fan control system, namely the FPGA multi-channel data acquisition processing module, the main contents are as follows:(1) Analyzed the function of the steel plant dust removal system and characteristics of the parts, design the overall structure of the intelligent control system based on FPGA frequency conversion fan.(2) Carried on the thorough analysis of the basic structure and working principle of the FPGA programmable logic controller, give the hardware circuit and the function of core board.(3) Design of the multi-channel filter, clock, sampling, sensors, data processing module, simulation verification, completed the data sampling, filter processing and threshold comparison functions in Cyclonell series models EP2C35F672C6FPGA development board.Based on the FPGA implement the optimization of the multi-channel filtering process and data acquisition module in variable-frequency fan control system, make the dust removal system more efficient and flexible, saves the production cost, realize the intelligent and energy-saving reconstruction of the system.
