Belt conveyor as the main transportation equipment in coal mine,it is very important to ensure the safety,reliability and energy saving operation of the whole mine.Overload is considered in the design process of belt conveyor,so it is necessary to keep enough power margin when selecting the drive motor.In the actual production,most of the belt conveyor is difficult to achieve full load state,and it is easily to appear the phenomenon of "big horse drawn small car".Under the condition of light load or no load,the belt still maintains a high running speed,which not only increases the mechanical wear of the equipment,but also wastes a great deal of energy.In view of the problem existing in the control system of belt conveyor,a set of energy saving optimization and intelligent control system of mine belt conveyor is designed with background of the main inclined belt conveyor in Wuyang Coal Mine.The system can adjust the speed of the belt according to the size of the coal flow,and achieve the purpose of energy saving operation.According to the design method of belt conveyor with the DIN22101,the running resistance and power consumption of belt conveyor are analyzed and calculated in this paper.It is proved that coal flow rate and belt running speed are the main factors affecting the power consumption of belt conveyor.An energy saving optimization model is established by BP neural network,which is composed of coal flow rate,belt speed and total power.The running speed of belt is optimized and energy saving control strategy of belt conveyor based on variable frequency speed regulation is put forward.A fuzzy controller based on PLC is designed,combining with the programmable control technology,computer control technology,modern sensor technology and intelligent control theory.The hardware selection and software design of the control system are completed.The upper-computer system realizes the remote control and real-time monitoring of belt conveyor by WinCC configuration software.The field operation shows that the system works stably,realizes the energy saving operation and intelligent control of the belt conveyor,and reduces the mechanical wear and prolongs service life of the equipment.
