In support of national policy in recent years,offshore oil and gas drilling equipments have developed continuously,which has put forward a higher requirement of the equipment’s production capacity,reliability,security and the automation degree.As the important part of the underwater production equipment,the electro-hydraulic directional control valve undertakes the responsibility to ensure the operation safety of underwater oil and gas.However,the research of offshore oil and gas exploration equipment started late in China,especially the valve components in underwater production control system,there is no mature products in this area at present,so domestic development of electro-hydraulic directional control valve has become the key issue in the process of the development of underwater production control system.To address this problem,this paper firstly conducts size calculation,detailed stress analysis and performance calculation for the valve,then makes structural design.On this basis,builds the opening and closing mathematical model of the valve.In the AMESim software platform,establishes the valve’s structural model and the electro-hydraulic control system,then makes the performance simulation study.Secondly,after the overall performance research of the electro-hydraulic directional control valve,the application of FLUENT software for pilot valve and main valve flow field are analyzed.Since different outlet pressure will change valve’s internal flow field accordingly,thus,set different outlet boundary conditions to study the distribution relationship between pressure and velocity inside,determine the optimal structure of the valve and lay the foundation for valve manufacture.Finally, determine the valve’s processing materials and sealing method, since the seal and the size of leakage are key factors that affect the valve performance, thus,according to the valve design requirements and environment, this paper uses the metal sealing ways to reduce the valve’s leakage and improve the sealing performance of the valve.The research made in this paper has a certain reference value for the development of the special valve in the field of underwater oil and gas production control system.
