Ecological Demonstration Areas For Sustainable Development Of The Evaluation Studies - Yanan City, For Example

Ecological demonstrative region construction is a great act of sustainable development strategy. Being a new regional practicing model, the development of ecological demonstrative region will contribute to enhancing state ecological safety and national economy exceedingly. But discussing how to establish an comprehensive evaluation system for ecological demonstrative region, and apply it to practical regions, and recognize and analyze the developing states and strategy implement effects is one key component of study on ecological demonstrative region.Beginning with elaborating the concept, construction target and developing background, and based on the theories of sustainable development,ecological economics and system regulation, and drawing lessons from the latest accomplishments in this field at home and abroad, the paper puts forward construction ideas and basic principle, and sets up an index system and mathematics models in according to AHP. In example, the paper, Combined with the regional features in BaoTa region of YanAn, designs the evaluation system which include economic development,social advance,the resources and environment,sustainable development capacity and Coordinated degree of system development. Through evaluating the development of BaoTa region during the period from 1992 to 1999. The results shows: The sustainable development level of BaoTa region was increasing steadly, but the region was weak in the state of development recently, the development system is low level. Finally, the relevant strategic measures is put forward in order to realize the regional sustainable development.
