Capsule Preparation. Yupingfeng Purifying Technology

This research aims at the purifying technology, which is a key process of the current Chinese herbal preparation, especially the compound preparation. To explore the train of the thoughts of the purifying technology, a representative prescription, Yu Pingfeng San, was selected as the model. According to the function and indications of the prescription and character of the herbals, the best extracting procedure was decided through the single factor design and orthogonal design experiments. In the purifying process of the Yu Pingfeng San, several technologies was used, including ethanol precipitation, high-speed centrifugal, adsorption clarifier, millipore filtration, macroporous resin. The evaluation index included the weight of extraction, reservation rate of polysaccharide and astragaloside. Pharmacodynamic experiment was done to evaluate the purifying technologies. The problems of each technology that appeared in the process were analyzed. These researches try to develop a series of purifying technology that not only can reduce the dose of the prescription effectively, but also can keep its efficiency and can be applied to industry. These researches can be used for reference in other preparations' process.
