The useage of the organotin is very widely. It can be used for manufacturing coating protecting errousion,the regent preventing from destroy of wood, insecticide, drug for curing the cancer, inforce agent of glass,the catalyzer of the synthesizing of the organization and the natural compounds, the heat stabilizer of PVC etc. The organotin compounds of which used as the heat stabilizer are always the di-organotin or the mixture of mono-organotin and di-organotin compounds, it accounts to two third of the organotin compounds or above more,it can be separated by the function group as butyltin, octyltin.methytin and, esterifytin. The method of synthesis is regarded as follows:Grignard method, Alkylaluminum method, Wutz method,and the derect method (iodine method). Grigard method is common in domestic, and it is regarded as claasical method as well. The method largerly used in abroad is Alkylaluminum method.This paper carrys on the synthesis of orgaontin used for the heat stabilizer of PVC by the method named as Grignard, the stabilizer named dibutyltin diisooctylthioglycolate was produced. The industrial process of manufacturing organotion stabilizer with the capacity of 500 tones per year had been established in THE RESERCH AND DESIGN INSTITUTE OF YUNNAN TIN GROUP CO. LTD. The investigation on synthesis had been done in the laboratory and in the scale of 200 1 reactor tank as well, the mechanism on the intermediates produced in the process like tetrabutyltin, dichloride dibutyltin, dioxide dibutyltin has been investigated as well as in this thesis. Moreover the process of manufacturing the tetrabutyltin was discussed , and a. new method one step compared the traditional two step is studied in this paper. According to the mechanism sythesis of the process obtained in laboratory and the scale of 200 1 reactor a serious of process had been done forestablishing industrial instrument such as design, instruments choicing, workshop construction .instruments fixing etc.The quality of tetrabutyltin manufactured in labatory is very well, the main content of its constituent is as follows:tetrabutyltin above95 pct,the productivity of tetrabutytin is above 97 pct. Nevertheless , the tetrabutyltin content in the products of industrial process is between 87% and 96%. The average productivity of it is above 87. 3%. The refined products of dibutyltin dichloride in labatory with a constituent as follows: both the main content and the productivity of dichloride dibutytin are above 96 pet in the laboratory, that are above 96% and above 85.88% respectively in industrial process. The DBTO made in laboratory has a content of tin between 47.0 pet and 48.0 pet, and its content of tin is above 47.0 pet manufactured in industrial process as well. The final products synthesized in lab contains tin between 17. 0 pet and 18. 0 pet, and it containing tin above 17. 0 pet got in industrial process with which capcity is 500 tones per year, the fimal products had been used and tested by customer and regarded as it can be comparable of the products manufactured in BEAR BRAND originated in Italy. The main innovations of technique discussing in this paper is concluded as three area. The first is the choicing of agent used in synthesis process. The second innovation is the method of manufacture tetrabutyltin with one step differing from the common method in which must use two steps to synthesis the compounds. The final is the analyzing method to separate and test accurately the constituent of the mixture compounds contains tetrbutyltin, tributyltin chloride, dibutyltin dichloride and monobutyltin trichloride. These improvement and invention are useful of the study on the area of organotin compounds, moreover the intermedia products producing in the process can be sold as the final products.
