In the paper, aimed at the questions including the singleness of the size of the well gas-liquid separator and the inefficient separate efficiency and the intermission in the production of the oil and the shortage of system efficiency and the short period of the check-pumping, by the mechanism of the well gas-liquid separator and the discipline of the gas-liquid liquid movement are researched under the different work status , the two-fluid model equations are founded, calculating numerical value of gas-liquid separation fluid fields by using the model equations, acquiring fluid fields distribution law in the well gas-liquid separator, computing separate efficiency of gas-liquid separator on the condition of different structure parameter. Finally, there is the indoor test-bed and the test in working well compared with the numerical value of the simulation. With the results, the paper designs and optimizes the new type gas-liquid separator based on the two-phase flow equations and the simulation and the experimental investigation. By the design , there is the new way and the theoretic to design the new type gas-liquid separator in the different instance and the vary gas oil ratio. The new way and theoretic employing can increased greatly the system efficiency and the appliance range of electrical submersible pumping unit, in the end the outputs and economic benefits can be increased greatly. The main characteristics of the research in the paper are as follows:1 .the information on the well gas-liquid separator in the world are collected and analyzed.2.the part model of the YQF-98-N8 and YQF-98-N9 well gas-liquid separators are founded and assembled by the use to the Pro/Engineer software, at the end the assembled part model are checked in the software..3.in the paper, the gas-liquid separator structure parameter to effect on the efficiency of the gas-liquid separator are found out by the analyses to the YQF-98-N8 and YQF-98-N9 well gas-liquid separators. Finally, there is the blue print of the gas-liquid separator research work.4.the investigation on the mechanism of the gas-liquid separation are completed, the two-fluid model equations of gas-liquid-two-phase flow in the well gas-liquid separator are founded.5.the numerical value of gas-liquid separation fluid fields are calculated by using the FLUENT software and the result are analyzed. These work help to find out the relation between the efficiency of the well gas-liquid separator and the structure parameters of the gas-liquid separator.6.the experiment equipment and blue print of the gas-liquid separator are designed .by the experiment device, the separate efficiency of the YQF-98-N8 and YQF-98-N9 well gas-liquid separators and the new well gas-liquid separators are tested, and the result help to prove the simulation of the gas-liquid separation out.7.by the result of the simulation of the gas-liquid separation, the new well gas-liquid separators to fit up the different gas oil ratios are designed on the structure parameters of the new well gas-liquid separators...
