| Material parameter databases for material processing analysis software system (MDPASS) are based on the software system, data bases technology and collection of materials parameters data, such as mechanics parameters of materials. The databases will make the material management more standardized and scientific. They also can be convenient for query and reasonable to selecting materials. It will broaden the application field of engineering software that supplying the necessary material parameter databases to analysis software of materials processing engineering.In present paper the significance and necessity of MDPASS were discussed firstly according to the characteristic of the collected data and to the application effect of databases. And the scheme of MDPASS was brought forward proposed based on the design character of databases and the forming processes, heat treatment and structural demands of material properties respectly. MDPASS was composed of five modules: material database for bulk forming, material database for sheet metal forming, material database for heat treatment FEM simulation, material database for structure analyses and material database for injection forming.According to the design scheme, the data about material mechanical properties and heat treatment were collected and divided into different classes. The data covered 4583 kinds of metals and non-metals, which maked a firm base to build the databases. And five base tables of MDPASS were developed at the basis of collecting the material property parameters.The function, main points of design and programming method of MDPASS were discussed in this paper. The database system was developed by using Visual C++ language and based on Windows platform with friendly interface and convenient operation, which can meet the basic demands of MDPASS. The operation of the system is simple because the interface of such system was consistent with the interface of the popular Windows' program. And that is easy to transplant to otherdomains by modified the system interface.This paper studied the realization of function and the characteristics of MDPASS. And the computer memory of MDPASS is advantageous to maintain materials and query materials property parameters; and the opening database system is propitious to revise and reinforce the parameters. Actual calculating results demonstrated that MDPASS was feasible and stable.The application of MDPASS to cold extrusion process planning (CEPP) was discussed. MDPASS was applied in cold extrusion process planning system. In this paper the properties of cold extrusion and CEPP were analyzed, the method of information show in database of CEPP was studied, the knowledge base of CEPP on the platform of VC++ was constructed, the manage and maintain system, which can carry out the operation of add, modify and delete for knowledge base and enactment the visit purview in the CEPP knowledge base was developed, edit system of CEPP knowledge base, which was convenient for getting information was researched, the strategy of eliminating information conflict, consequence and run mechanism were established, the material base, which including common original materials of cold extrusion and give facilities for parameters transfer during the technology design was developed. The knowledge base and material base establish the foundation for investigation on CEPP. |
