300M steel is a kind of new steel with extremely high strength, mainly used in key strength-bearing parts, such as under carriage of a plane. By making use of the technique of laser phase transformation hardening, the comprehensive performance of the surface of a material can be improved. At present, the parameters of laser processing are chosen mainly by experiment and through experience. Numerical simulation in laser phase transformation hardening process for 300M is significant for optimizing parameters of laser transformation hardening.In this article, the writer analyzes, in all aspects, thermal conduction and mechanics in the process of laser transformation hardening for 300M steel, setting up thermal coupling models for laser transformation hardening, and adopting the limited-mention law to calculate temperature field and stress field in the process of laser transformation hardening. The writer also analyzes the distribution law of temperature field and stress field, and analyzes the distribution of the short-period thermal stress fields from the aspect of laser transformation hardening process. By studying laser parameters, thickness of samples and the influence of sample borders on temperature field, the writer finds that the thickness of samples and borders of bottom side have a great effect on samples of small thickness. Laser parameters can decide samples' peak temperature on the surface, the distribution of temperature grads and the depth of hardening layer.
