The major work in the paper is the transform of the pickle curve-centering device of the Baosteel cold-rolled sheet-steel rolling mill.The pickle production line is the main production line and the essential production process in the cold-rolled factory. The existed problem at present is :the deviation of the strip steel width is very big. It was discovered that the device of the curve-centering system was not perfect,which often leads to the fact that the strip steel often runs ruptures partially or the sheet is out of shape at the process of the shearing and the uncoiling.The existed condition influence the production efficiency and the product quality seriously. So it is very necessary to transform and perfect the curve-centering device in this paper.According to the existed problem of the curve-centering device,the paper put forward the necessity of the transform and draft the scheme. It is introduced the electric-liquid proportional technique, the cause and type of the crooked running, servo valve,the method of the system modeling,the simulation of the system,control algorithm and the optimization of PID and so on.The text sets up the model and calculate the parameter according to the controlled object of the hydraulic pressure servo position system in the curve-centering device.The text designed the PID on the base of the modeling and analysised in detail the stability and error of the system. The simplex method is utilized to search better control effect.At last the analysis of the simulation verified the exactness of the mathematical model and the feasibility of the scheme.The simulation uses the Matlab software. Simulation result show optimization PID controllor makes system's accommodating time shorter, but overshoot is bigger. The optimum PID controllor makes system's dynamic capability and static capability much perfect. So the optimum PID controllor applies this system. This conclusion provided the theory foundation of experiment.
