The coal gasification wastewater of some chemical corporation is studied. The sources and characteristics of coal gasification wastewater are generalized and research situation in treating such kind wastewater is presented. Based on the practical operation, design parameters of coagulation - SBR combination process are deeply discussed and disposal efficiency, influential factors, operation and control of each unit are studied systematically in order to provide useful references for the treatment of similar kinds wastewater.Adopting coagulation - SBR combination process in this production experiment treats with coal gasification wastewater of high ammonia nitrogen. The novelty is that DJAM-I type butterfly jets are installed in SBR tank. This equipment not only has high oxygenized efficiency, but also has good mix function, which has effect for mixing up wastewater. This SBR technics change conventional mode of operation, anaerobic mix is added in back of aeration stage. Some methanol which is added in SBR tank in anaerobic mix stage acts as carbon source. The denitrification effect is very good. Based on the productive practical operation, the main conclusions as follow: Practical operation demonstrates of coal gasification wastewater by combined process of coagulation - SBR is practicable technologically and reasonable economically; The optimal parameters of coagulation for treating coal gasification wastewater was acquired by experiment, when 120mg/L flocculants PAC and 2.0mg/L coagulant PAM were put into the wastewater, CODcr,SS removal of excess 40%,80% respectively; The operation way of SBR process through practical experimental identification is the following: inlet and aeration (2.0h), anaerobic rotating (2.0h), absolute-rest precipitate (3.0h), discharge of mud,water elimination (1.0h), the cycle is 8.0 hours. When the consistence of CODcr, NH3-N of influent are 462mg/L. 208mg/L, the consistence of effluent are CODcr<100mg/L, NH3-N<20mg/L, and the rates of removal can be reach at 80%,90%. The effluent reachs second discharge standard.
