There are a great number of delay series compositions at present.The half-second and second BaCrO4 delay compositions are two kinds of them.During the process of using them,the serious phenomena of the time shift and the misfire may appear.In this paper,an investigation was conducted to discuss the burning-reaction mechanism of BaCrO4 delay composition.Their self-decomposition reactions,burning characteristic,physical and chemical character were researched.And then we probed into the relationship among them. We also investigated the relationship between its chemical change after a long-time store and its impurity class and content.We worked over its raw and processed material.The correlation of BaCrO4 hallmark,granularity and impurity was analyzed through chemical-combination craftwork.There are some key factors that bring on BaCrO4 delay composition time excursion and flameout after a long-time store.And those key factors were confirmed through moisture-absorption experimentation of BaCrO4 delay composition.After that, the approach about enhancing BaCrO4-delay-composition capability was found. We constituted its quality-controlled measure and added repeated check when the production entered the factory.The capability of the delay-series production was enhanced accordingly.
