Numerical Control Machine Tool's High Frequency Pulse Power Study

Pulse generator is the essential component of Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), which performance directly determines various techniques of WEDM. Therefore, it is always paid more attention by the researchers on WEDM. Electricl Discharge Machining(MEDM) is used widely in the sophisticated industry technology field, such as the field of Precision machinery project, the Miniature machinery, the Micro electron technology, the Biology medicine project and the Aerospace and so on.However, the development of pulse powers has become the bottleneck for the further imporvement of electric discharge machining quality and eficiency. This paper has produced the currently development status of Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) in home and abroad and some problems existing in the process of the Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), analyzing the characters of power of the traditional Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining, basing on the exiting theory and practical achievements of Pulse generator, appling the mature mature monolithic integrated circuit and the serial communication technology, developing a high frequency power source which can be adjusted the electrical parameter accurately. Using 8253 counting chip and the monolithic integrated circuit to realize the function that generating and controling the impulse through the software technology, ensuring the pulse precision and controllability and providing the convenience for the following processing of electrical discharge machining.This system has made up of the pulse generator module, the power amplification module, the keyboard and display module as well as the host computer monitoring module. Pulse generator module is the source of the whole system's radio impulse; The power amplification module guaranteed the pulse module produces the pulse has the enough energy to process the work piece; The keyboard and the display module using in the man-machine interaction and simplifing the operation; The host computer monitoring module has realized the collection and distribution control. And the system antijamming design in the system by using the software.
