Linear casting machine is a key equipment of the automatic casting production line for the non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc, aluminum and so on. Its movement status immediate influences product quality, output and cost. Anomalous vibration and crawling of the linear casting machine lead to product superficial ripples and "fish scales", which seriously influence ingot casting surface quality. Such critical problem should be solved to improve product quality; therefore, crawling of the linear casting machine has been the earnest attention of related technicians in the product enterprise. In recent years, the reasons that cause the casting machine to vibrate has been analyzed, but these researches are not confirmed by practice, and not any practical solutions are proposed. Against this background, en efficient solution against crawling was studied based on analysis of the crawling mechanism and characteristic. As a result, this solution presented in this paper is applied in the automatic casting production line in Zhuzhou Smelting Co, Ltd, and it shows that it obtains a good actual result.Prime works in this paper can be discussed as followings:Firstly, movement characteristic of the linear casting machine was studied based on the test system for the machine working in the full load and idling conditions. The relationship between crawling and work condition of the machine was analyzed, and time domain characteristic of crawling was obtained. Through two drive sprockets' time domains and frequency range analysis, the influence of the ingot casting printing and the chain wheel polygon effect to the drive sprocket speed stability was discussed, and the other facts effecting crawling such as the movement phase differences of the two drive sprockets, bearing attrition, endocentric characteristic as well as electrical machinery's load stability were also analyzed.Secondly, dynamics model of the chain belt shaping machine system was established based on the commercial software ADAMS. The effect of different friction conditions upon the machine stability was discussed. The FEM software ANSYS was also applied to analyze the intrinsic property of the chain belt system, furthermore, the effect of the vibration in different modality upon product quality was analyzed.Finally, in order to improve the rigidity of belt shaping machine system and its actuation, frequency conversion actuation technology and hydraulic pressure tighten technology were proposed based on dynamics characteristic analysis and scene test result of the shaping machine. These technologies are successfully applied in Zhuzhou Smelting Co; Ltd .it shows a good actual result for reducing vibration and eliminating crawling.
