Smelting aluminum and aluminum alloy is the first important procedure in fabricating factories. Moreover, aluminum melting furnace is the key equipment in the smelting and the main energy consumption facilities. Aluminum melting furnace occupies high proportion of energy consumption. For example, the heavy oil consumed in a furnace is about 50% of general energy consumption in some enterprises who produce cast-rolling plate.China's aluminum smelting industries, energy use is generally low, fuel consumption is high, economic efficiency is poor. Currently, average diesel fuel consumption is (95~125) kg/t in China's aluminum smelting industry, in some areas up to (142.5~161.5) kg/t. In industrial technology developed area, such as Shanghai, average diesel fuel consumption is about (76~85.5) kg/t, equivalent to the secondary level in foreign countries. As the energy shortage, environmental pollution becoming more serious, as well as energy price increases, the rising cost of energy products, energy saving and environmental protection has become an important subject current in aluminum smelting technology.So to enterprises, the aim of smelting is to offer high quality metal melt for foundry with the most economical equipment, Technique and the lowest consumption. That means the high quality hot metal with eligibilities in chemical component, content of gas and metalloid inclusion and condign temperature can be produced under the conditions of high productivity and low consumption.The researches on smelting equipment of aluminum and aluminum alloy (30-ton aluminum melting furnace) were disserted in this paper. The developing process of energy saving Technique on aluminum melting furnace was introduced, especially in application of Regenerative Combustion and Permanent Magnet Stirring Technology on aluminum melting furnace of Aluminum Electrolysis Plant, Shandong Aluminum Industry Co.ltd. And then the result was analyzed. The result indicates that Regenerative Combustion and Permanent Magnet Stirring Technology on aluminum melting furnace is the best measure of energy saving according with smelting characteristic of aluminum. To an aluminum melting furnace, should be consider on reducing fuel consumption and reducing burning spoilage caused by oxidation, and preheating Technique of combustion-supporting air by flue gas should be made the most. At same time, the technique should be further perfected while using on aluminum melting furnace project.
