Investigation Report Of The Public Awareness Rate And Its Influencing Factors Of Tuberculosis Preventive Knowledge In Urumqi City

Objective:To research the public awareness of tuberculosis preventive knowledge and its influence factors in Urumqi, to afford the theory support for much more effective methods of popularization tuberculosis preventive knowledge and health promotion. Method:Form the multilevel stratified random sampling, we sampled six communities from the two street offices. Eligible participants were age from 12 to 65, and have been lived there for 6 years at least. The investigation content include the investigators demography character, tuberculosis control and preventive knowledge awareness rate situation, attitude and behavior to obtain the information.Result:There were 1200 eligible people in the study, include 591 (49.25%) males and 609 (50.75%) females.1,The public total awareness was 55.58%, the key knowledge awareness rate of tuberculosis was only 2.92%, the two and three key information full awareness rate were only 12.66% and 16.33%, respectively. 2, the single knowledge awareness rate is much different. 3,The 54.30% people can not treat their tuberculosis neighbors or colleagues friendly.4,The single factor analysis result found sex, age, marriage, insurance type, occupation and family earning were connected with the three key information awareness rate. In the multivariate logistic regression model, male,low age group people and jobless were associated with the low awareness rate of the three key tuberculosis preventive knowledge. 5, In the last year, the tuberculosis program media overlay rate of TV and broadcast is 59.70% and 57.48%, respectively. The public gain the tuberculosis preventive knowledge from the TV, newspapers, books and periodicals mainly. People with different occupation have different mode to get the tuberculosis preventive information. Conclusion:The public tuberculosis knowledge awareness rate is till not reach the national programming goal; we should take various methods to satisfy different people to get the tuberculosis preventive knowledge easily; from the effective health promotion material to improve the tuberculosis preventive knowledge awareness rate, so to enhance the public awareness rate completely.
