Study Of College Student Union's Organization Operations And System

With the reform of high education and the continuing decentralization of college autonomy, the distribution of college interior authority has aroused widespread attention. As one of college main bodies, students actually have no right in the entire distribution of powers. College Student Union is the official student organization to defend the rights of students, to realize the benefit demand of students, but has gradually deviated from the nature of independent development and further weakened the students'status in colleges in the organization operations. What leads the independent development power of Student Union insufficient? This study launches the research on the operations status of Student Union organization, aiming at digging the system disorder, and then found the root causes of the shortage of development power through its operating mechanism for in-depth analysis.This study first defines the nature and structure of Student Union organization , points out that Student Union is the student autonomy organization, maintains the student benefit, participates in the management on behalf of the student democracy, builds the bridge between the school and the student, realizes"the self-education, the self- management, the self-service"function through the organization movement. Then I take Student Union of Huazhong University of Science and Technology as the case, carry on the investigation to its main student leaders, and penetrate into the inner organization to show a dynamic operation status of the organization through the interview. After the material reorganization and analysis, I find that the linear generalization organizational structure of Student Union and pan-functional system further limit the autonomy of Student Union development power. In essence, it still serves for the school management order. Therefore, the limited self-government of Student Union will not change basically when the school structure - functional system has not had the qualitative change and reforming. Only students realize the main body status truly, obtains the equal status with the school authorities, the Student Union autonomous nature can realize. Afterward I attempt to propose suggestions and countermeasure to the Student Union organization development, firstly, it should transform the concept, make clear about the organization location; then consummate the organizational structure, strengthen the system construction; transform the management mode of Student Affairs, create a relaxed, rational education environment.
