This dissertation is composed of 2 parts:review articles and clinical research. The first part is a review article, which includes the main contents as following:summering pathology, classification, treatment and lack of treatment about chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in western medicine, then reviewing pathogenesis, syndrome and treatment and treatment of the shortcomings about chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in TCM.The second part is a clinical research of using abdominal acupuncture to treat nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy. Methods:Select 30 patients, who will be received at least 2 cycles of chemotherapy with cisplatin in our hospital.30 patients who were consistent with the eligibility criteria of the clinical study, were divided into two groups using the envelope method:AB and BA. All the patients were received cisplatin-based chemotherapy. A group (the treatment group):30 patients in the treatment group were received Tropisetronhy and abdominal acupuncture to treat nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy. B group (the control group):30 patients in the treatment group were received only Tropisetronhy to treat nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy. Treatment:the treatment group(A group):abdominal acupuncture:Zhongwan(RN12). Xiawan(RN10).Q ihai (RN6). Guanyuan (RN5), perpendicularly 0.5 cun for 30 minutes, Tropisetron 5mg iv into the pot, during the first 6 days of chemotherapy cycle. The control group (B group):Tropisetron 5mg iv into the pot, during the first 6 days of chemotherapy cycle. Record gastrointestinal reactions (nausea, vomiting),other adverse reactions of the patients during the first 6 days of chemotherapy cycle., the blood, liver and kidney function and other test results before and after chemotherapy.Results:1 Efficiency in control nausea of the the treatment group is significantly higher than the control group. Chi-square test showed that nausea degree of the treatment group is lower than the control group during the second days to the fifth days of chemotherapy cycle,P<0.05; is significantly lower during the fourth days to the fifth days, P<0.01. Efficiency in control Vomiting of the the treatment group is significantly higher than the control group.Chi-square test showed that nausea degree of the treatment group is lower than the control group during the thirth days to the fifth days of chemotherapy cycle, P<0.05; is significantly lower during the fourth days to the fifth days, P<0.01. After treatment, there is no significant difference in liver and kidney function of the two groups.Conclusion:1. Abdominal acupuncture therapy combined with tropisetron can effectively reduce nausea induced by cisplatin chemotherapy.2. Abdominal acupuncture therapy combined with tropisetron caneffectively reduce delayed vomiting induced by cisplatin chemotherapy, reduce the incidence of delayed vomiting.3. We did not find Abdominal acupuncture can treat bone marrow suppression and protect liver and kidney function temporarily. |
