Astragalus Compound Decoction Treatment, Spleen And Kidney Deficiency Type Ii Myasthenia Gravis Clinical Study 52 Cases

Myasthenia gravis is a kind of autoimmune disease which is mediated by the N2-Acetylcholine receptor-antibody (N2AchRab) and the electroneurographic signal transfer in the neuromuscular junction is obstructed.Ocular muscles are more involved clinically. The symptoms of damage of ocular muscle such as blepharoptosis,diplopia,strabismus, Face muscles and masticatory muscles weakness,look dull,shortness of breath and dysarthria and so on. Myasthenia of bulbar form is Words against,difficulty in swallowing and slurred speech and Limbs muscle weakness. Some of the patients showed the symptoms which are related with myocardium and smooth muscle. MG is a serious disease which threat to the quality of life. It has been listed a difficulty disorder all over the world by the world health organization. The clinical treatment experience shows that the Chinese traditional medicine also has a certain effect for MG. Therefore, exploring an effective method for MG by searching joint method between Chinese traditional medicine and western medicine , developing the feature and discover the advantage ,that are becoming a theoretical and practical valuable research issues.Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and the safety of Compound Astragalus Mongholicus Granule on typeâ…¡Myasthenia Gravis(MG). Methods: fifty-two cases of MG in line with typeâ…¡a andâ…¡b of Osserman were divided randomly into two groups which were 27 cases in the treatment group and 25 cases in the control group ; the treatment group were treated with Compound Astragalus Mongholicus Granule and Pyridostigmine Bromide , while the control group were treated with Methylprednisolone and Pyridostigmine Bromide. In the three months period of treatment, observing the clinical absolute and relative scores and the electromyogram and the impact of humoral immunity.Results:1. After the treatment, there were 2 cases recover , 5 cases basic recovery, 6 effective, 10 improved and 4 inefficacy in the treatment group. The control group is 4, 7, 5, 4 and 5. The total effective rate of the treatment group reached 85.2%, compared with the control group which was 80%, there was no significant differences in both groups(P<0.05).2. The group's AchRAb titre decreased significantly after treatment, but there was no significant differences in both groups (P<0.05).3. Checking 52 cases of the MG for (repetitive nerve stimulation RNS) after the treatment, showing the unusual rate of treatment group is lower than the control group. There is a statistical significance by comparing the two groups (P<0.01).Conclusion: The AchRAb titre decreased significantly after the treatment of Astragalus Compound Mongholicus Granule.Astragalus compound particles may be speculated that by inhibiting the proliferation of Th cells, promoting T cell activation, and ultimately inhibit the B cells to produce acetylcholine receptor based antibodies .This release that ACMG which may be introduced in patients with immune regulatory function of MG.The method of Compound Astragalus Mongholicus Granule and Pyridostigmine Bromide has proven that the Combined treatment is a preferable ideal strategy for MG. The rate of AchRAb titre declined significantly. The possibility of aggravation decreased distinctively compared with the control group.
