Objectives:In order to study whether there are humanpapillomaviruses (HPV) in the vapor during Co2 lasertreatment of condyloma acuminatum.MethodsV the vapor specimens were collected lcm(32 samples).3cm(32 samples) and 5cm(32 samples) from the lasertreated area.2.the vapor specimens were detected for HPVDNA bypolynierase chain reaction (PCR) methods.Result:The results of this study showed that HPVDNA were found in thevapor during treating condylorna acuminatum by high power CO2laser. The results also indicated that 48 of 96 specimens Werepositive for HPVDNA and the positive rates were 50%(48/96). amongthese the vapor specimens were collected from the laser treatedarea: 1cm (32 samples )positive rate of HPVDNA wad75. O%(24/32). 3cm(32 samples) was 53. 1%(17/32) and 5cm(32samples)was 21.8%(7/32).the HPVDNA positive rates were2significantly different between 1cm and 3cm X 3. 9666(p(O. 05)2and 3cm and 5cm X 4.76(p(O.05).Canclusion:1.The results of this study showed that HPVDNA were found inthe vapor during treating concluloma acuminatum by high powerCO2 laser .the positive rates were 50%.2.It is deemed that is stud ing on the pathogenesis tooperator in the vapor during CO2 laser treatment ofcondy I oma scum i nat urn.3.The equipments of draining off vapor was 10cm from thelaser treated area is good for safe.
