Clinical Observation On Patients With Vitiligo Treated By Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Followed By Ultrasound Introduction Of Diprospan

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy andcomplications of Fractional Laser Followed by Ultrasound Introductionof Diprospan in treating progressive vitiligo.Methods: A total of58Chinese patients with progressive vitiligowith lesions were enrolled in this study. They were assigned to twogroups according to the treatments (the combined group,n=33;the druggroup,n=25): The combined group included12males and21femaleswith the mean age of21.5year, the average duration was19.4months.The drug group included11males and14females with the mean age of27.9year, the average duration was14.9months. A typical lesion of eachpatient was treated with Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Followed byUltrasound Introduction of Diprospan（betamethasone dipropionate5mg,betamethasone disodium phosphate2mg：1ml） with the treated arearanging from1cm2to10cm2.The treatment settings were a pulse energyof40mJ,the interval was4and the coverage was8%. The time ofUltrasound Introduction was10minutes. The time interval of everytreatments was21~30days. All the patients during the observation periodwas treated with oral compound glycyrrhizin glucoside piece,50mgeach time,3times a day, topical tacrolimus ointment,2times a day. Theobservation period was4months. Observing the clinical efficacy andadverse reaction.Results: The total effective rate of combined group was higher thandrug group during4months’treatment. After1month’ treatment, themarked effects of combined group was21.2%，and the efficient was66.7 %；the marked effects of drug group was0%，and the efficient was36.0%；After2month’ treatment, the marked effects of combined group was42.4%，and the efficient was81.8%；the marked effects of drug groupwas16.0%，and the efficient was52.0%；After3month’ treatment, themarked effects of combined group was63.7%，and the efficient was84.8%；the marked effects of drug group was32.0%，and the efficient was56.0%; After4month’ treatment, the marked effects of combined groupwas66.7%，and the efficient was84.8%；the marked effects of druggroup was40.0%，and the efficient was60.0%。These different betweenevery month’ marked effects and efficient have statistical significance。Conclusions: Combination treatment with Fractional CarbonDioxide Laser Followed by Ultrasound Introduction of Diprospan ismuch more effective in treatment of progressive vitiligo than the druggroup, the adverse reactions of the systemic application of hormone canbe avoided in the the combined group.
