| Objective To investigate the effects of Fu Fang Ku Oiaomai(FFKO) onFBG, TXB2, 6-Keto-PGF1a, and to elucidate the effect and mechanism of reducing blood glucose, the effect of preventing and treating DNP.Methods Except those of the normal control group, the other rats were used as pathology models of diabetes. They were induced by being injected streptozotocin(STZ).We adopted random blocks according to the weight and the fasting blood glucose of the diabetic rats. The 56 experimental rats were dividet into five groups, namely:the normal control group(NC ),the high dose FFKQ group(FG),the low dose FFKQ group(FD),the Xiaoke Wan group and the pathology group(X).Diabetic rats were treated once a day. The treatment lasting for a month. During the month, all the rats could eat and drink at will. When the experiment was over, all the rats were fasted for 12 hours and then extirpated their eyes to collect blood in order to measure:FBG, plasma TXBa and plasma 6-Keto-PGFi 0 .We also observed the pathologic slice of nerve. Results The high dose FFKQ could improve the symptoms of the diabetic rats significantly, decrease the levels of the FBG and increase the levels of plasma insulin. The effect were better than that of the low dose FFKQ(P<0.01).Compared with the Xiaoke Wan group, there was no significant difference(P>0.05). The high dose FFKQ was also able to decrease the levels of plasma TXB2 and increase the levels of plasma 6-Keto-PGF]a.The effect were better than that of the low dose FFKQ and the Xiaoke Wan(P<0.01). The investigation of nerve pathomorphology suggested that FFKQ could reduce the pathomorphologic damage of peripheral nerve. Conclusion These findings suggested that FFKO may have a value in preventing and treating of DPN. FFKQ have the superiority of adjusting the human body as a whole by treating Ben and Biao concurrently. |
