Objective: To research the mechanism of Chinese medical prescription-Qingweichuyoutang on the healing of uncurative gastric ulcer .Methods: 46 uncurative gastric ulcer patients were randomly divided into three groups, 14 cases were treated with Qingweichuyoutang, 15 cases were treated with western medicine ranitidine ,17 cases were treated with Qingweichuyoutang and ranitidine. 8 weeks as 1 therapy course in the three groups. After 8 weeks they were examined through gastroscope, immunohistochemical SABC kit and micro-image analysis were used to measure HSPeo and HSPyo. Results: The curative ratio and total effective ratio. Integrated group was superior to ranitidine group and Qingweichuyoutang group (p<0.05) , whereas ulcer index of integrated group was decreased evidently than those of ranitidine group and Qingweichuyoutang group (p<0.01). The level of HSP60 HSP70, Qingweichuyoutang group and integratedgroup increased markly compared with ranitidine group (p<0.01). Conclusion: The mechanism of Qingweichuyoutang on accelerating uncurative gastric ulcer-healing is probably due to the effect of increased HSP s.
