| The small and medium-sized hospitals in Dalian are confronting great pressure from the intensive environment. For these hospitals, the problem of how to survive and develop their business becomes more and more urgent. However, without explicit awareness of their situation, these hospitals generally just muddle on instead of setting up their own strategy. The main purpose of the thesis is to pointing out how to establish such an overall strategy in order to take a preferable position in the medical market for these kind of hospitals.The main structure of the study follows such steps as identifying, analyzing and solving the problem. In the first part illustrating the motive of the thesis .Then in the second part analyzing the macro-environment and the inner environment as well as competitive environment all the small and middle-sized hospitals faced .In the end by using one hospital as example providing the method of choosing suitable strategies for the hospitals on the basis of the SWOT analysis and strategy-selected matrix according to their own environment.It can conclude that it's imperative for the small and middle-sized hospitals to set up their own strategies for further development as early as possible. However, there are so many strategies to choose and one can not expect any single of them can be always invincible. The strategic mode depends on the hospital's own size and specialty. So hospitals have to choose suitable strategies according to different circumstances. In a word, the option of strategy modes should depend on the specific situation of individual hospitals rather than imitate others blindly.It is hoped that this paper should be able to offer the perplexed small and middle-size hospitals some strategic mode and practical choice to set up their own strategy for future development and furthermore strengthen their position in the medical market. |
