Smalland medium-sized hospitals are an important part of the social medical system and an effective supplement to large hospitals.In recent years,with the state’s support to the medical and health industry,the number of small and medium-sized hospitals,especially the small and medium-sized private hospitals,has been increasing,leading to increasingly fierce competition between them and between them and large hospitals.As a result,some small and medium-sized hospitals even have difficulty in basic survival,but there are few researches on this field at present.This paper chose a small and medium sized factory and mineral hospital located in an industrial center of guizhou province which is economically underdeveloped as the object of analysis.Through a thorough investigation into the current situation of the hospital,and competitive environment,the problems existing in the research institute in competition,and then to the basic competitive strategy,value chain and core competence theory as a guide,using the macro environment analysis(PEST),industry environment analysis(porter five model)analysis tool of hospital strategic environment is analyzed,combined with the hospital the value chain and core competitiveness research,find out its advantages and disadvantages,and according to the actual hospital gave an analysis of the three basic competitive strategy,and analyzed from the Angle of value chain and the core competitive ability conforms to its competitive strategy,Finally,the conclusion is drawn that A hospital is suitable to choose differentiated competitive strategy.The implementation of differentiation competitive strategy is carried out in four aspects: medical product differentiation,medical service differentiation,talent management differentiation and competition approach differentiation.By strengthening financial management,medical quality control,human resource security,informatization construction,hospital culture construction and hospital medical environment,etc.,to enhance the core competitiveness of the hospital,ensure the smooth implementation of the differentiated competition strategy,and help A hospital achieve practical results.It is expected that the research results of this paper can enrich relevant theories in this field and provide references for the formulation of competitive strategies for small and medium-sized hospitals.
