Research Survey And Progress Of Chinese And Western Medicine Ovulation

Anovulation is the main reason of some diseases and some difficult complicated cases such as sterility infemale, amenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, etc.Therefore it is an important subject for gynecologists stimulating ovary's function to induce ovulation. There is no record of "anovulation"in TCM, but its pathogenesis usually due to the dysfunction of the Kidney, the liver, the Heart and Chongren, and is related to Mucus, Dampness and Stagnation. Its therapeutic methods include syndrome or disease differentiation and treatment, herbal therapy on menstrual cycle, acupuncture and moxibustion, combined treatment of TCM and acupuncture, and combined treatment of TCM and western medicine. Meanwhile a lot of experimental and clinical researches have carried on the pathogenesis of promoting ovulation. In western medicine, there are some therapeutic indications in promoting ovulation and 8 kinds of medicines. They have different mechanisms and can lead to some side-effects. This paper provides a comprehensive report on the accomplishment of TCM and western medicine promoting in the last 20 years, and gives the comprehensive of anovulation's mechanism and clinical experience of professor Wu. The problems and notices of nowdays have also been issued.
