Amblyopia is a common visual disease in development of the children. Monocular visual deprivation amblyopia is difficult cure, and will result in low—level vision if miss the opportunity of treatment. Research of the low—level vision is less especially in the field of acupuncture. Monocular visual deprivation amblyopia mostly fell under the low — level vision in clinic. The object of this article is mature monocularly deprived amblyopia rats, and by acupuncturing the special acupoints to observe the effect of the rat's flash visual evoked potential. This paper expounds theory part and experiment studying. In theory studying, we recommend briefly the cognition and general treatment of amblyopia ,and the general of the treatment by acupuncture. In experiment studying , to observe the effect of F-VEP in monocularly deprived rats by acupunctured at the acupoints: taiyang ,binao at postnatal day 45 in treatment group ,from the first day after operation for 30 days. Result: after acupuncture, the latency of N1, amplitude of N1P1 and P1N2 of F-VEP in monocularly deprived rats after the critical period showed a significant improvement. Conclusions: Acupuncture at the acupoints: taiyang, binao can improve the F-VEP of the monocularly deprived rats.
