Severe Postoperative Adjuvant Therapy For Endometriosis. Tripterygium Glycosides Tablet For Clinical Studies

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficiency and side-effects of Tripterygium lycosides (TG) in the treatment of moderate and severe endometriosis after conservative or hal f-conservative surgery .MethodsEighty women with moderate and severe endometriosis after conservative or half-conservative surgery were divided into two groups: 40 cases in the group of Tripterygium Glycosides(TG) received TG tablet orally 30mg every day for 6months three days after surgery;40 cases in the group of gonadotropin releasi ng hormone agonists(GnRH-a) received hypodermically leuprorelin acetate 3.75 mg every 28-30 days for 6months.patients' symptoms and signs including pelvi c pain,pelvic tenderness,menstrual were recorded before and after treatment. Liv er and renal functions,sex hormone level were also examined at the same time.Results1.The totall efficiency rate of TG group and the GnRH-a group were 85.0%, 87.5%, relapse rate of the two groups were 15.0%,12.5%.there were no differe nce between them(P＞0.05).2.TG group had a higher score than the GnRH-a group in the sign criterion of traditional chinese medicine criterion.3.In improving clinical symptom , for instance dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pa in,etal, TG group had a preferablier efficiency than the GnRH-a group.4.There was a distinct discrepancy in resume time of catamenia between the t wo group.5.Serum estradiol(E2) level was significantly reduced in both TG group and G nRH-a group.Conclusion1.Tripterygium Glycosides(TG) has an effective and convenient treatment for en dometriosis as GnRH-a,at the same time which is a potential medicine with lo w-cost and few side effects.2.TG can improve life quality of EMS patients,which has a better curative effect than GnRH-a in the sign criterion of traditional chinese medicine and cli nical symptom.3.TG is preferable to GnRH-a, because it has a longe period of amenorrhea an d a low serum estradiol level.
