Taipei And Beijing In Patients With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Symptoms Syndrome Investigation And Analysis

ObjectiveThe standardization of syndrome is the focus in the scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).This research's objective is to compare the syndromes and zhenghou and life quality in two areas (TAIBEI and BEIJING).MethodIn the resaerch, firstly we clooected patients according to the diagnosticstandard of CFS.Then we reference GB/T16751.2-1997,《Diagnosis of Chinese Medicine》etc,form syndrom standtard protocol.As the same time SF-36 is used to evaluate the CFS patients'life quality. Result and Conclusion1 Theory Research1.1 Epidemical study of CFSWith the development of the society and the severity of competition, the amount of CFS has been increased. In western countries CFS has been one of the five most important reasons to go to hospitals. Comparing the reports of the countries the distribution of CFS is different. The incidence of CFS is higher in developed countries than developing countries. It is also considered that the incidence will be higher with the time going on. And the ages of most sufferers are from 30 to 50. The relation between CFS and sex is uncertain. Besides, more CFS sufferers occur in the people who accepted higher education and have a good income. By now there is not epidemical research of CFS in Taiwan, but there have been more and more sufferers in clinics.1.2 The TCM theory research of liver's function in CFSArrange the TCM theory of liver'functiong and expound the importance of the liver in CFS from the four aspect: liver controlling dispersion, liver controlling tendon , liver storing blood , the liver meridian's circulation.CFS patients always have the syndrom of stagnation of liver-QI and deficiency of liver-blood.2. Clinical Research2.1 The study on symptom of CFS in Taiwan and MainlandThrough analyzing the 60 cases, we compared their age,ocupation,education degree and so on.There are 53 common clinical symptoms for CFS, including chronic fatigue, inattentions,depressions, poor memory, cold-fear, halitosis, swimmy, sleeping with poor recovery,insomnia, etc. Compared with the Taibei group, we can see sufferers in mainland have more symptoms of easy to angry, deficiency of vital energy and backache,two groups are different evidently.Compared with Mainland group, we can see that sufferers in Taiwan have more symptoms of inattentions and depressions. This could be associated with the bigger oppression inTaiwan. And the incidences of bitter taste of mouth, perturbed and cold-like, etc. arehigher than the mainland, which could be associated with the climate and foods.2.2 The study on TCM syndrome Characteristics of CFS in Taiwan and Mainland This study discusses characteristics of CFS's TCM syndrome in Mainland andTaiwan. We find that the syndromes with frequency of occurrence higher than 20% are: stagnation of the liver-Qi, liver-deficiency, blood stasis, kidney-deficiency, stagnation of liver and spleen-deficiency, Qi-deficiency, accumulation of phlegm-dampness, Yang- deficiency,incoordination between the liver and stomach, hyperactivity of cardiac fire , blood deficiency,spleen deficiency, heart-deficiency and so on. Compared with the Taibei group , we find that Mainland group Qi-deficiency is considered to be related to the disease most . Compared with the Beijing group , we find that Taibei group is have more TCM syndrome of moist heat .2.3 The study on life quality Characteristics of CFS in Taiwan and Mainland Compared with the Taibei group , we find that Mainland group have more problems in bodily pain and general health perceptions.
