Yuan And Ming Hang County Literati Cluster Study

In late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, there were a lot of refined men of letters active in the literary circle of Hangzhou. Most of them lived in Qiantang and Renhe, appreciating each others' works, and visiting each other. They left abundant literary works.Centering on Qiantang and Renhe, this thesis will study the formation, inter relationship and production of this literary group. Generally divided into three chapters, the thesis is mainly studying the formation of this group, discussing about their inter relationship with several examples, and also analyzing in detail the production of their works based on the characteristics of that time and area characteristic of Hangzhou. The above analysis is interwoven with textual criticism about several characters.
