Therefore, the thesis here willemphatically point out the poet as an independent case study and leaveout the review of "the July Poetic School" as a background survey.Starting with the method of image criticism, we try to focus on theinfluence and function of the poetry discourses as realism, modernismand "modern-realism" on the color images in Peng's poetry which fallsinto red images, black images, green images and achromatic imagesdiachronically. As for Peng Yanjiao, the artistic exploration of his "lifepoetry" and "poetic life" merged into an organic whole for theachievement of the aesthetic pursuit of poetic elements. The modernconsciousness in Peng's poetry then constantly pays close attention to therelationship among psyche, self and society. The successive evolution ofred images, black images, green images and achromatic imagescorresponds respectively to the early, middle and later period of his poeticwriting.
