The Fu's book paid attention to the history of all the poets and checked the authenticity of the background of the all. But the Fu's book was paid too much attention to the authenticity of the materials, so it neglected the poetry comments that can through the way of choosing materials and criticizing the spirit of the poets to get in. And hope this paper can make the thought of poetry comment clearly.The first part wrote the background of Xin's thought and the outline of the thought of poetry comment. With the developing thoughts of the poetry comment, the writer commented the phenomenon of"respecting and referencing Tang Dynasty"on Yuan Dynasty's poetries. Wenfang Xin lived in that times which was produced and developed the"respecting and referencing Tang Dynasty"'s poetry comment. And also The Biography of Gifted Poets in Tang Dynasty raise Tang poetry highly, so though the all we can know the background of the theory of poetry comment. There have little materials about Wenfang Xin, so it's very hard to know how his concept formed and also hard to understand his book's concept of poetry comment further.
