As an important part of media design, Motion Graphics Design, which has a history of nearly forty years in the United States, has made tremendous progress in both form and style because of technical development and the interaction, integration and synthesis of multi-technologies in recent years.In China, works of motion graphics has beginning to emerge, but lacking enough pertinent theory of motion graphics, understand of its formation, function and style, and communication with world leading motion graphics designer leads to poor recognition of present condition and development of this area.In order to study the fashionable conception of motion graphics design and to comprehend its styles and features,this paper focuses on a motion graphics designer, Garson Yu, analyses his representative works of motion graphics, summarizes their features of novel concept and various styles,concludes Yu's flexible style and his design methodology integrating graphic design and motion design,interprets his unceasing thoughts of creation and prospects the future development of motion graphics design.
