The communication between different religions in different cultures and the interactions between different cultures always are the concerns to scholars. Worked as a communication phenomenon, religion is more than a static history and a fixed social phenomenon; it is also the representation of a special culture expressing a dynamic development and continuous self-renewed human spirit. This paper will mainly study the communication of religions both in domestic and foreign cultures at the basis of the compared research, aiming at theory-managing the historical literature contents and taking communication of Buddhism, Nestorianism and Taoism of the Tang Dynasty in China as the typical examples; and will further explore the characteristics and general rules when spreading in Chinese culture. In Chapter 1, it introduces the related concepts, and from the current religious communication study, points out four observation points including communication concept, communication timing, communication channels and communication effects. Based on it, the paper focuses on analyzing the spread of Buddhism, Nestorianism and Taoism in the Tang Dynasty in China. In Chapter 2, from a religious ideology, it describes the communicational concepts of the three religions and compares their differences. It figures out that the pure cultural communication is more conducive to the spread of religious motivation and the development of healthy communication. In Chapter 3, comparing the different social and cultural circumstance, it is evident that during the age of civil disturbances, religions are easier to root in the poor, and become grass-rooted. It is necessary to get support from public as well as rulers, in order to develop the religion. In Chapter 4, from the comparison of communicational modes, considering from the quantity and quality of the scriptures, spiritual values, cultural alliance and carrier class, you can see the spread of new ideas directly depends on the communicator's mastery of the communicational mode. A better grasp on the mode of communication is conducive to maintaining religious vitality. This paper argues that, a certain outside supporter is indispensable for the successful spread of the foreign religions in different culture conditions. The pure cultural communication without utilitarian is very necessary, as well as the timing of communications and the relationship between communication subject and communication object. For long-term existence of foreign religions in local culture, in the process of interpreting the classics and communicating the religions in all orders of the society, we should adopt appropriate approaches. Similarly, as an important part of local traditional culture, the local religion, in the face of the collisions between mainstream cultures and foreign religions, should take positive measures to handle it and refashion its theory timely, and enrich itself to achieve better development.
