| Homework assignments as the last link in the process of teaching plays an important role in strengthening teaching. A great deal of research about the teaching focus on classroom teaching, but researches on homework assignments are less, some Chinese teachers don’t have scientific knowledge on homework assignments and are limited to the traditional form of copying, reciting and doing exercises which are mechanical repeat abilities.In fact, the content, amount and form of homework is worth to study. Language teaching is different from other subjects. Chinese homework aspires to listening, speaking, reading, writing and various aspects ability enhancement. Thai education system is different from China, so we can’t transfer our forms of homework assignments to Thailand in case that will affect the enthusiasm of students in learning Chinese.In this paper, two questionnaires are designed for students and teachers. Strategies of homework assignments will be putted forward according to the answers of the questionnaires. There are three parts in this paper.The fist part will brief the homework in definition, type, function and significance, and give some principles according to the theories. In the second part, two questionnaires are designed for students in Phayao School and Chinese volunteers to show the current situation of Chinese comprehensive course in Thailand about the homework assignments. And through the analysis, it reveals the problems existing in the homework. Case analysis will be chosen" in the teaching plans from Chinese volunteer teachers. The third part, in view of the problems have been found, it gives some solution strategies about homework assignments.The purpose of this paper is to explore the Thai Chinese teaching method and strategy of the homework assignments, this research could be helpful to Chinese teaching in Thailand. |
