Reasoning and our life are closely bound up. It is often concerned with one's reasoning ability that whether the things which he did succeeded and his development. So reasoning ability is integrant and basic to a person. Mathematics plays a role in developing the ability. And we are cocksure of that.Firstly, proceeding from the comprehension of mathematical reasoning and its ability, this article elaborated on the importance of deductive reasoning and plausible reasoning to correct long-term cognition of looking down on the later. So the article emphasized the point that mathematical teaching should take the policy of simultaneous development of the two abilities.Then how the educators make good use of the subject of mathematics to train comprehensively the middle school students' reasoning ability, on that the article put forward the point that the students' disciplinarian of cognitive development is the precondition and foundation of the mathematical education. So the mathematical teaching progress about developing the middle school students' reasoning ability should be conscious of their different levels on their corresponding cognitive periods.The mathematical textbook is the chief source of teaching and studying, and relates to the quality of the mathematical education. The eligible textbook is compiled in the different periods effectively according to the levels of the students' cognitive ability, in order to improve their reasoning ability. The article analyzed the process of active geometry textbook on Mathematics Teaching Program and experimental one on Mathematics Curriculum Standard in developing of junior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability. By demurely analyzing the article compartmentalized the two textbooks stages about training the students' mathematical reasoning ability.Finally, the article commented on the rationality of the method of each compilation in the geometry textbook according to the cognitive development theory of J.Piaget and mathematical educational achievement.
