The safe exploitation and adequate supply of coal resources are important to rapid and healthy development of the national economic. But the coal mine harsh environments and many hidden safety problems always threaten the security of state property and lives of miners. Therefore, according to the view of the current production safety status of China's coal industry, establishing a comprehensive coal mine staff attendance positioning management system is of great practical significance.Since the wireless communication is suitable especially for the locomotor equipment and the complex environment, we put forward Radio Frequency Identification technology to the work of information collection among the staff, which is an emerging technology of many advanced short-range wireless communication ones.The basic principles of RFID technology was presented in-depth in paper. The existing anti-collision problems in the practical application of the technology were analyzed and the anti-collision algorithm used commonly which is based on a binary or ALOHA was discussed through comparison. Based on the actual functional requirements of underground personnel management system, the overall program of the wireless data transmission system was designed, including system functions, models and structural design. Wireless communications hardware platform based on nRF2401A wireless transceiver chip, the AVR MCU and MSP430 MCU was completed. In addition, a wireless data communication protocol was designed. The overall flow, the timing sequence and the key part of the system software were designed and analyzed.The program has the features of low power consumption, simple structure, easy installation and high accuracy in communication testing.
