The structure of Wenwei area lies to the north of the central uplift of Dongpu sag, abutting on the two low-lying areas of Dongpu——Haitongji and Puwei secondary oil generating depressions. This area has an advantaged structure for hydrocarbon accumulation and a high degree of hydrocarbon enrichment for its interior developing faulted systems of Wei-East and Wei-West which offer the well condition for hydrocarbon migration and accumulation. The Triassic System in Wenwei Area, which is usually called'the thick resistive red bed', was formed by red sand-shale deposition. In recent years, a series of study on the oil reservoir evaluation of Mesozoic thick resistive red bed has showed that the forming oil structure in this area is very advantageous to oil generating. Now, Oil wells, Ming 48, Ming 61, Ming 66 and Ming 123 have had low yield of oil and all of these suggest that this area would be a series of important oil bearing sequence in Wenmingzhai. The Study on the Oil Reservoir Evaluation and Its Implementation Effect of Triassic System in Wenwei Area has significance in exerting resource potential energy of medium and high water-cut period to find more oil resource for stable production and stimulation of production of Zhongyuan Oilfield. This thesis focuses on the oil reservoir evaluation. The main purpose of this research is to find out newly-increased proved reserves and producing reserves, performing the study of fine stratum, structure, the feature of oil reservoir, the rule of hydrocarbon enrichment, and the progressive exploration and development of sandstone fracture oil reservoir of Triassic System of Mesozoic. Six key techniques are used in this research, which are the study of fine stratum, the technique of fine interpretation of structure, the facture identification technique, the oil reservoir identification technique, forming oil reservoir analysis technique, and oil reservoir evaluation deployment technique. There are five problems that have been resolved In the research which include the partition and correlation of the thick resistive red bed of Mesozoic, the structure description of the thick resistive red bed of Mesozoic, the forming oil rule of the thick resistive red bed of Mesozoic, the sandstone facture identification, the evaluation and deployment of sandstone fracture oil reservoir. In the meantime, the research has developed a series of oil reservoir evaluation techniques that are completely suited to the complex geologic features of this area. The production of the research act as a direction and stimulus to the oil reservoir evaluation of Wenwei area or even Dongpu sag and Bohai gulf area and will have much economical and social benefits.
