Hydraulic support is one of the most important equipment in the integrated mechanization technology of coal mining. It is also one of the most investment and application equipment. With the improvement of the fully-mechanized mining technology and a continuous aggravation of the market competition, the design requirement of hydraulic support is higher and higher. On the basis of performance assurance, the hydraulic support weight is alleviated as far as possible and the economic efficiency is increased.The thesis uses the hydraulic support as the researching subject. The full solid model of the hydraulic support is established and checked the model interference by using Pro/E. Then, the shield beam's solid model is imported into the ANSYS software by the IGES mediate file and its structure finite element analysis is accomplished. At the same time, on the basis of structure finite element analysis, the shield beam's optimization design mathematics model is formed and calculated by the ANSYS and the structural optimization design is finished.Firstly, all parts solid models of the hydraulic support are established and assembled by using Pro/E. Then, the model's rationality is checked by using the software's interference detection. The 3-D solid model can provide a direct way to acknowledge the hydraulic support's structure and assembly relation for the designers. The design circle is cut down and the design efficiency is increased.Secondly, the shield beam's solid model is imported into the ANSYS software by the IGES file. The model is meshed properly. The forces and displacements are forced on this model by the load analysis. The shield beam's finite element model is built. The shield beam's stress and strain nephograms are obtained by analyzing and calculating in the ANSYS software. The calculation result is accorded with the practical situation.After all, the structural optimization design model of the shield beam is set up on the basis of the finite element analysis. The ANSYS software is using as the optimization designer and its parameter design language (APDL) is applied. The zero-order optimal method is utilized. The structural optimization design of the shield beam is accomplished. On the basis of the iterative accuracy satisfaction, the satisfying result is yielded. The optimal result is 6.53% lighter than the origin model in weight. Obviously, the optimal design is better.The project provides a set of accurate, reliable and fast modern design method for the key parts design of the hydraulic support.
