Veneer Lathe is the equipment used for peeling the wood and processing the wood plateproducts. While the NC Veneer Lathe is the new product invented in the recent years. It costs toomuch to completely use NC and servo system for the agricultural production. This thesiscreatively claims the design of variable-lead screw feed, by which, constant speed machining canbe realized through simple PLC control. And the cost of the veneer lathe can be reduced.This thesis mainly analyzes the working condition of veneer lathe, and calculates therelative parameters of the basic moments and stress of veneer lathe, and makes the finite elementanalysis on the key parts.Analysis shows that the max stress is located at the screw-feeding thread, and the otherparts share the less stress. Through the analysis and check of the separate parts, they can meet thedesign demands.
