Theφ300 fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) annular centrifugal extractor was newly developed by the institute of nuclear and new energy technology, tsinghua university and it was used in chemical industry successfully. However, it vibrated severely when it worked, and the vibration made it's service life and performance decreased.Through analysis, two causations leaded to the vibration, one was the dynamic unbalance of the FRP rotor, and the other was the feed liquid impact to the installation.For the purpose of validating the analytical result, a rotor dynamic balance correction method was designed for the FRP rotors and hydraulic experiment was conducted to find the reason making sever vibration.The rotor dynamic balance experiment shows the FRP rotor could be seemed as rigid rotor when it worked in 1440r/min, and the rotor could gain a quality of G2.5.Analysising the data gained in hydraulic experiment, we get the conclusions as follows, by comparing vibration values of on-load with no-load running installing the same rotors corrected or not, the vibration increased by less than 8% in average, it shows the material liquid impact to the installation was limited and the key factor resulting severe vibration was the dynamic unbalance of the FRP rotors; The vibration values the annular centrifugal extractor installing rotors corrected decreased by more than 80% in average comparing with the not corrected when it worked in no-load condition, it demonstrated the dynamic balance was efficient, and the values decreasing by more than 72% when the installation running on load with the corrected rotors showed the performance of the installation could be upgraded by correcting the FRP rotors.Through comprehensive analysis, it demonstrates that rotor dynamic unbalance is the key factor resulting in severe vibration of the installation, and by correcting the rotors dynamic unbalance could decrease the vibration, the dynamic balance is efficient and effective.
