As a high efficient extraction strengthening separation equipment, The Annular Centrifugal Extractor (ACE) has been widely applicated in the field of petroleum chemical industry, the atomic energy chemical industry and wet metallurgy. In order to optimize the design and improve the mixing and extraction efficiency, further research is necessary to the flow field structure of annular, Thus the subject will use the experimental method to study the single-phase Taylor vortex field structure in the annular of ACE, Experiments will be conducted using particle image velocimetry (PIV) to understand the flow patterns and velocity profiles in the situation of different operation conditions and geometrical structure. In this paper, the flow characteristics of three different annualar gap model and different rotate speed and different flow rate were tested respectively, Flow characteristic parameters such as two-dimensional velocity field and vorticity and turbulent kinetic energy distribution were abtained, the flow characteristic parameters were discussed in the condition of different bottom blade modle, the flow characteristic parameters of different place in the annular were compared.Furthermore, the local micromixing time of Komogorov time scales was introduced. Through compared the local micromixing time of different operation conditions and geometrical structure, the mixing efficiency of annular space was optimized.
