Spline Rolling forming is achieved by using the plasticity of certain metal at normal temperature. The work-piece is distorted by involutes wheel under the external force, and then the involutes can be obtained. Compare to the traditional spline cutting method, the Spline Rolling forming technology has advantages of low processing cost, fewer steel consumption and higher processing efficiency, meantime, the surface quality of the product can be improved and the life-span can be extended.The main parameters of the Spline Rolling process were established by analyzing the mechanics characteristics of Spline Rolling forming processing. The curvilinear equation of tooth profile of rolling wheel and tooth profile of the work-piece are given respectively by using theory with regard to envelope curve. The contacted area was analyzed as well.According to the hydraulic circuit principle, the synchronous hydraulic control system is designed by researching on the basic principles of hydraulic studies. On this basis, a mathematical model of the system was established. Simulation experiment of the model was carried out by using MATLAB software, the result obtained was analyzed and the feasibility of hydraulic synchronization control system was proved.The stress and strain distribution and the change process with regard to time were obtained by analyzing the numerical simulation result. The accuracy and reliability of simulation results have been proved by energy analysis. And the pattern of plastic flow of the Spline Rolling forming process was analyzed as well.The results obtained in this study provide a theory-basis for improving the processing efficiency of making spline-type parts. It has important significance to popularize and apply the roll forming technology. |
