The very important question of the coal mine safety has been paid more and more attention from various circles of society. In the situation, the quality of mine support has become particularly important. Mine support test-bed is the test equipment of mine support at factory or after maintenance, and its performance relates to the quality of mine support and the safety of coal production.The Virtual Prototyping Technology is new method in development of product, it is a numerical design method based on computer simulation model. By using it, the designers, users and makers can do the optimization of design, aptitude test, manufacturing simulation and work simulation visualized in virtual environment before the product manufacturing. It has an important significance in innovations, improving the quality, reducing the design errors and accelerating the development process.Based on the Virtual Prototyping and Numerical Control Technologies, this paper does the design and study on a 1500t hydraulic support test-bed. With the advanced software in the nowadays world- SolidWorks and ANSYS(the finite element analysis software). First, the basic parameters are determined, every parts and Hydraulic system is designed and the 3D models of the machine and its assemblage are built up with the software SolidWorks. During this process, the correctness of the models is validated by doing the kinematics analysis. After 3D models of the machine is established, then by using Pretreatment software-HyperMesh to established various analysis object model and divide grip, at last we can get structural deformation and stress distribution of the hydraulic support test-bed. It assures the quality of design. The method and theory used in this paper can also be used in other products and systems.
