Based on the standard rack of a type of air-jet loom, the six-bar beating-up mechanism is established and the dynamic analysis is carried out in this dissertation. Firstly, based on the standard rack and the ideal motion law of sley, the six-bar beating-up mechanism is established with the help of optimization algorithms. Then, the detail structure of the mechanism is designed and the 3D modeling is obtained by PROE software.Secondly, based on the assumption of taking the beating-up mechanism as rigid body, the multi-body dynamic model of six-bar beating-up mechanism is set up by using the software ADAMS. The main characteristic, such as the regularity of sley movement, reactions of kinematic pairs, input moment and shaking force/moment are studied. The results show that, the dynamic properties of the designed six-bar beating-up mechanism can meet the requirements of the designed beating-up motion.Thirdly, the elastic deformation of the beating-up mechanism is taken into account and the flexible multi-body dynamic analysis is carried out. The displacement and angle acceleration response of the sley's nodes are emphatically inspected, also, the difference of the dynamic properties of each side of the six-bar mechanism is analyzed. The conclusion indicates that the elastic deformation have a relatively low influence on beating-up process.Finally, multi-body dynamic analysis is carried out for the original four-bar beating-up mechanism. With reference to research former, the comparison from original four-bar beating-up mechanism with designed six-bar beating-up mechanism is obtained. The result shows the designed six-bar beating-up mechanism is better than original four-bar mechanism.It can be found the research of the present dissertation is more helpful for the improvement of air-jet looms.
